Retrospective

When I was young, I was playing one of the best PlayStation games of all time, Medievil. I was play a particular stage when a glitch occurred. On the Screen, the character was in every position of the screen doing every action he was able to. The screen was filled with Sir Daniel Fortesque, jumping, swinging his sword, running and walking and basically anything his limited existence would allow him to do.

I started thinking about my my own life. Was there a limited number of actions i could take, and was each action based on the previous sequence, or could I break the cycle. Are all actions the correct one, but I’m only conscious of the one I’ve taken action upon?

We are vessels moving through space and time. Next time you go to a busy Train Station, just stop in the middle of the crows and watch people moving to their platforms. Watch as if they were animals or, better still, robots. All paths are being walked, does it matter who walks them?

Is our conscious mind created naturally, or is it given spiritually? If life’s paths are dictated by choices that are dictated by past choices that ultimately lead back to the choices forced upon us as children, then what role does consciousness play?

If we could see things from another perspective, would we make the same choices as that character?

In retrospect, I’m not sure who I am or what defines me as an individual. If anyone else were to watch me at a train station they would see what I see in them.

Nothing.
