Even the pandemic could not stop these pets from getting blessed.

In celebration of World Animal Day and SM Pet Park’s 3rd anniversary, SM City Taytay held the first-ever Drive-Thru Pet Blessing at the SM Pet Part last Oct 3, 2020. 

Rev. Fr. Mario Operario officiated the Blessing of more than 150 pets.  Participants also received a Drive-Thru Pet Blessing certificate and loot bags containing pet treats and essentials. 

Due to the pandemic, the pet-owners and their pets were only allowed to be inside their vehicles during the ceremony. However, pets were still blessed as the cars passed by giving pet owners a sense of peace for their baby's well being.

World Animal Day is an international day of action for animal rights and welfare celebrated annually on the feast day of Francis of Assisi, the patron saint of animals.
