Story of Mokshda Ekadashi :
Very devotee king(Vaikhanas) of Champa Nagri once saw a dream that his father was in HELL and suffering a lot. He wake up and tell his wife about this dream. His wife asked him to go to ashram and ask the masters about this.
Since the king was very religious, he decided to visit ashram to meet the scholars. He went and met PARWAT MUNI and told about his dream. Saint said to king that, you are very kind and your father is getting the result of his deeds, your father has tortured your mother and so he is suffering in hell.
King asked parwat muni about the solutions of this problem. and saint asked him to perform fast and prayer on mokshda ekadashi also he asked to leave the virtue of this fast to his father.
King has done the fast and by the power of this pooja, his father got free from all his sins and king also became happy.

As per hindu panchang, the 11th day of Aghan month , shukl paksh is celebrated as geeta jayanti or mokshda ekadashi.Let's Know The easy Steps to Offer Prayers on This Auspicious day:
- Keep the fast from the night of dashmi night and till the morning of Baras.
- Wake up early in the morning and then worship lord vishnu with dhoop, deep, bhoga, chant any vishnu mantra.
- Take the vow to perform fast and then read the story of mokshda ekadashi, do the arti and distribute prasad.
- Offer seasonal fruits to lord.
- Wear fresh and simple cloths.
- Do recite lessons of bhagwad geeta or only 8th lesson of geetaji and pray for the salvation of ancestors.
