As per Indian Astrology, Month is divided into 2 paksha and there are 15 days in each paksh. In every paksh there are 15 tithis.
The 2 paksha in a montha are following:
1. Shukla Paksh- From the next day of no Moon night to the full moon night.
2. Krishna Paksh - From the next day of full moon night to the no moon night.

Pratipada, It is also called ekam.
Dwitiya, it is also called Dooj.
Tritiya, it is also called teej.
Chaturthi, it is also called chaturthi.

Shashthi, it is also called Chat.

Ekadashi, it is also called gyaras.
