Yeah, yeah….I’m a few weeks late on this one and I’m sure most Wrestling fans already know what was in this box. I have been a bit busy from holiday stuff and work, and today was the best time for me to get this rolling. With any luck, my January article will be relatively “on-time”. So, here we are, one week into the new year, and I have put all the Christmas stuff away, taken down my tree, and started preparing for whatever godawful winter weather that mother nature throws my way. This was all in record time! But, wait! I forgot about one last present – the Pro Wrestling Crate from December 2022 is still sitting here unopened, and all of the sudden it’s Christmas yet again! This box has a vague Christmas theme to it, but it did not go overboard, as you will see they did have a couple of Christmas items in place. I guess that I’ll have to put them aside until next year considering my poor timing, but I’m always a fan of the boxes having a theme to them. Let’s pull up a chair, ad see what this box is all about!

“Arlene had Stage 3 breast cancer five years ago. She was in remission up until she was hospitalized on September 27, 2021, because she couldn’t breathe. They discovered that she had fluid in her pleura. She ended up getting a CT scan, a thoracentesis, then a PET scan. After the scans and biopsy, they found out that she has Metastatic Stage 4 Breast Cancer that had metastasized to her Pleura. She has not been able to work (she’s a licensed massage therapist, veteran) since the end of September due to the pain in her chest. Her savings are almost running out and she would deeply appreciate your help.”

Shirts:

Despite listening to The Major Wrestling Figure Podcast, I don’t really enjoy their shirts because they are always movie homage pictures. This is the second one of these I’ve been somewhat lukewarm on, mostly because I have basically one month where a Christmas shirt is viable, and I am now past that point. The Hangman Adam Page shirt is pretty good albeit minimalist in design, and it’s a shirt I’ve already worn at work. Thankfully, this one doesn’t have the words “COWBOY SHIT” emblazoned across it. Not one of the better T-shirt selections.

Autographs:

Although I sadly have not watched any of their return to WWE (due to not watching WWE anymore), Kross and Scarlett are an exceptional pair of autographs to get in one package! Kross was always awesome in Lucha Underground and Impact Wrestling, and Scarlett is VERY underrated as well as a gorgeous woman. solid items this month!

Micro Brawler:

If only I could find all 10 little belt replicas from the J-Cup to drape over this figure to re-create that famous picture of Ultimo Dragon holding like 400 pounds of gold all at once! Ultimo Dragon was easily one of the more unsung greats of WCW back when I first got back into professional wrestling. He ALWAYS had great matches, and despite never really being a focal point of the show, the crowd loved him. This is a solid choice for Micro Brawler for sure.

Socks:

I am sometimes disappointed in how not stretchy these can be. I guess I have big feet, and sometimes it takes quite a bit of effort to get these off after a long day of wearing them. Maybe something for them to look into. Having Cactus Jack Christmas socks is fun though, that’s not really an item I imagined being in here.

Pin:

These are always fun, and you really can’t beat The Lucha Brothers when it comes to awesome characters to have on enamel pins.

Comic Book:

Hey look, it’s a Christmas Tales from the Road comic written by Mike Kingston and Mick Foley. Last Year’s Nick Gage Christmas comic was fun, and I’m sure this will be just as good. These are usually fun, and I love reading them.

Conclusion:

This was a decent box, although my usual draw for these are the T-shirts, and both were somewhat bland this time around. The Micro Brawler and the dual autographs made everything great though, and as a result this box was not a bust in any way. Next month’s crate seems to have a lot of items I would potentially enjoy, so I am pretty excited to see what they have in store!
