Now that Thanksgiving is over and many Americans have started the month-long task of avoiding Mariah Carey’s “All I want for Christmas is You”, it’s time to settle down and enjoy a small moment of peace before holiday chaos ensues. So here I am, sitting on my couch, and it’s that time again to open a crate of wrestling goodies from Pro Wrestling Crate. I do this every month at around the 25th of every month, and it’s well-past that time now – my apologies for the delay! So the question now is – will I be thankful for getting this crate out of my mailbox this month, or will it be a huge turkey? Let’s find out!!

As with all of these, a part of the proceeds are donated to charity, this time it’s The Brian Muster’s Family Support Fund. These are usually wrestling-related charities, and this one is to help the family of one of AEW’s most unsung heroes behind-the-scenes:

“This morning we lost an amazing person who made the world a better place. Brian Muster passed away this morning very unexpectedly. He leaves behind his fiancee and 2 young children. Brian worked on many shows over the years; the last three years, he was an integral part of creating the look of AEW Wrestling by working as their Lead Video Engineer since its very first show. I traveled the world with Brian from Europe and Asia to the Indian Subcontinent, and he would always make you smile with his personality, smile and joy of life. I was blessed to watch him grow from a teenager just getting in the business of TV to one of the Elite Video Engineer’s in the country, and all who met Brian loved him.”

For those new to these subscription crates, Pro Wrestling Crate usually packs in anywhere from 8 to 10 items every month – these include a guarantee of a Micro Brawler Figurine, two T-shirts, a lapel pin, and an autographed 8 by 10 photo. Usually there’s a couple of small additional items in every box making this well worth the money spent. I would recommend, if you can swing it, purchasing A six month or yearly subscription as you get a pretty hefty discount doing so. In the past, I have subscribed to a number of different boxes, generally not liking most of them to be honest, but the guys over at Pro Wrestling Tees always do a fine job of picking great items making this my favorite subscription box of them all. You can also get a double dose of crate action with AEW’s All Elite Crate as well.

Spoiler Card:

Shirts:

Both shirts are pretty good, but none of them hit it out of the park like last month’s incredible Robocop shirt. We have a retro-styled Acclaimed shirt that looks straight out of the T-Shirt section of a late 90’s JC Penney, and a Retro Scott Hall shirt this time around.

Autograph:

I wasn’t really watching WWF at the time that The One Man Gang was there, but this is one of the cooler looking autographs in my collection. The spoiler card seems to imply that there may have also been autographs of “Akeem The African Dream”, another character by the same performer. I’m not sure if that’s the case, but if so it would be a first from Pro Wrestling Crate.

Micro Brawler:

J-E-Double F-JA-Double R-E-Double T is here to join my stack of Micro Brawlers figures. While not my preferred era for Jeff, as nothing beats the King of the Mountain for him, this is probably more “toy-etic” and likely stands out more.

Sticker:

Not Much to say about a sticker, but Evil Uno always looks awesome, so I like it!

Pin:

It has not been a good week for FORMER AEW World Heavyweight Champion Jon Moxley. I can’t wait to see his eventual rematch with MJF and perhaps see William Regal get his comeuppance. I have tons of these pins, and they are always fun – this will look great in my collection.

Comic Book:

Despite what the spoiler card says, this is not one of the PWC Crypic Closet books, which are generally horror-based, but a Tales from the Road comic written by Mike Kingston and Joey Janela. These are usually fun, and I love reading them.

Keychain

I don’t really use these when I get them, but I like the style of this Elite keychain, I’m sure they had action figures like this at one point, and I’m sad I missed them.

Conclusion:

This was a decent box, but not as good as last month. The shirts are usually my top draws, and neither were anything that I was super excited about, and that’s with me being a fan of both subjects. Items of the month were the Jeff Jarret brawler and a surprisingly cool autograph from the One Man Gang. All items were well selected, and I’m glad to see that eight items are back, even though that usually just results in a sticker. Next month may be Christmas-related and I can’t wait to see what Mick Foley as Santa item we get – here’s hoping for that to be the brawler!
