Super Expo on iGaming and New Tech Set for Manila 2020 Show

An Expo featuring new developments on iGaming is finally coming to Metro Manila where we have our own world-class-quality casinos we can brag about. In a press conference held last Thursday, SiGMA Group and Clarion fused together to officially announce the Super Expo happening in 2020 which is expected to have 10,000 delegates from U.S. and Europe.

The big event saw around 200 media people as well as members of the Manila business community who came to witness first-hand the launch of the Manila 2020 show. Happening on June 8-9 next year, the SiGMA Manila, ICE Asia, and Manila AI & Blockchain Summit will all happen at the SMX Convention Centre and Conrad Hotel in Pasay City, Manila.

In the upcoming expo, guests can expect to see the latest trends on land-based gaming, igaming, esports, digital games, Artificial Intelligence, Blockchain, Internet of Things, Big Data, Quantum Technology, and FinTech. It is assumed to be the biggest collection of tech and gaming suppliers, operators, affiliates, regulators and blockchain businesses that will ever come to the country.

Futhermore, the organizers of the AIBC Summit (considered the world’s largest Blockchain and AI expo in Europe) will be sharing a wealth of their experience in this sector and bring valuable contacts to Manila.

As you all well know, the Philippines has been one of the top enthusiasts of online games as well as casino gaming in the world. The online gambling industry, major operators and punters alike commonly refer to online gaming as iGaming. All over the world, iGaming hubs have emerged, with some of the biggest ones being located in the UK, Malta, Gibraltar and Curaçao.

The Philippines isn’t a stranger in this sector. In fact, it quite naturally offers some of the best casino resorts in the South East Asia region. The thriving gambling industry here has turned the country into one of the chief competitors of Macau and Singapore for best Asian gambling destination.

While people usually go to the Philippines to enjoy the vibrant nature, gambling fans will be spoilt with a rich selection of casinos that compares favorably to the top gambling destinations in Europe. So having the Super Expo in the city is such a big honor that many casino goers and hoteliers would want to participate in to.

As for the online gaming industry, the Asia-Pacific region has been dominating the global video game market for years with the biggest population found in China, Korea, and Japan. Of course, the Philippines doesn’t fall short on this part too as we have over 30 million active online gamers with some even going to competitions internationally.

So if there’s a market to target for iGaming, that would definitely have to be the Philippines.

In fact, Eman Pulis, founder and CEO of SiGMA, commented about the Philippines’ ever-vibrant attitude on this sector, saying:

“We are impressed by the vibrant entrepreneurial spirit in South-East Asia, specifically in Manila and the Philippines. Which is why we believe that ICE, SiGMA and AIBC – Asia – should be held in Manila. I look forward to the first edition this coming June 2020 with excitement. The feedback from our previous attendees in Europe has been overwhelming.”

Meanwhile, Kate Chambers, Managing Director for Clarion Gaming, also believes that bringing the Super Expo to Manila has always been a great decision, saying:

“The opportunities for growth in Asia are increasing exponentially year on year, and the time is right to cement new and existing relationships between the gambling industries in both East and West.

To combine the expertise of Clarion courtesy of the world famous ICE brand and SiGMA ensures both the land-based and iGaming sectors will find synergy in Manila in 2020. This is an exciting time as we extend the reach of the ICE brand following the launch of ICE Africa in 2018 and ICE North America in May 2019.”

Clarion is the organizer behind the world’s largest gaming show. SiGMA Group, on the other hand, is responsible for the world’s second largest gaming show.
