“Fitting In,” whatever that means.

Regardless of how young or old you might be, you can’t help but remember exactly what it felt like to be in high School. You might have been the jock sporting the trendy letterman’s jacket or maybe you were the quiet girl in the library. No matter what Clique you belonged to, chances are you didn’t always necessarily feel like you belonged.

I was fortunate enough not to belong to any clique. I was a floater, I wanted to have friends in every clique because to me, things like that didn’t matter. I learned that even more once I came to college. A Song that really reminded me of high school and always sends me back in time is Cool Kids by Echo Smith.

If you’re not familiar with the song, be sure to listen to the soundcloud audio below:

Despite not necessarily Fitting myself into a clique in high school, I could still relate to the feelings most adolescence are going through. You’re looking at other girls, wondering what they’re doing right or what you’re doing wrong. The guys are looking at each other, trying to compete in sports and in everything else. As teenagers, the grass always seems to be greener on the other side when it usually is not.

I have a great appreciation for Echosmith for making such an amazing song that so many can relate to. It reminds me so much of Untitled by Simple Plan which helped so many teenagers who may have felt like they were alone to realize that many people out there actually feel the same.
