Havok's New Game Engine - "Anarchy"

Tags: engine

Hey future game developers,
Have you heard of Project Anarchy, a new 3D engine from Havok (the same people that built the engines behind some of the world’s best and biggest games, from Assassin’s Creed, which i absolutely love to Halo 4) that is completely free to use for mobile game developers.
Interested developers can find the game engine on this link
http://www.projectanarchy.com/download
The mac version of the engine does not contain the main tools of the engine such as the editor and animation etc... I guess it is primarily just Windows although the tool that does work is the one that lets you convert the game for IOS, so you are gonna basically have to develop it on windows and then convert to a IOS version.

Now game developer have a choise, Do they develop on Project Anarchy, which is pretty new to this whole indie-game thing but free on the two biggest mobile platforms (IOS and Android)  regardless of how much you’re making, or on Unity3D, which has a rather big community and is on its 4th major version , but charges a few grand per developer once you’re big enough to show up on their radar?

I have been personally using Unity3D for a while now and i have to say it is simple and easy to use and i personally like it. Although i am more of a design person this i am not that interested in making game cause a lot of the work is in programming and i can't find someone who will help me out.

Regardless of the pros and cons of Unity 3D and Anarchy, everybody wins here. Developers get more option and way to create new games, Gamers get more games to play.
