*Hollywood Confidential celebrates ten years of successful events put on by entertainment marketing executive and visionary, Steve Jones, and he pulled out all the stops!

Held at the prestigious Television Academy this month, the honoree of the evening was none other than legendary actress, singer, and executive producer, Marla Gibbs (“The Jeffersons,” “227,” “Blackish”).

The evening’s presentation, powered by Meta, was unequivocally filled with love from fellow stars wanting to stop by and surprise the Hollywood Walk of Fame recipient with adoration and words of appreciation for all she has done in the industry.

Tisha Campbell, Tichina Arnold, Tabitha Brown, Tiffany Haddish, Lala Milan, and Amber Riley were some of the talent who popped up to literally present Gibbs with the flowers she deserves.

The 92-year-old is still sharp, witty, and as beautiful as the woman her fans remember watching on television growing up. A pre-panel with Lala Milan,  Amber Whittington, and Meta’s own Michelle Mitchell served as a first course, discussing influence, content creation, and Facebook’s “We The Culture.”

While the auditorium was full of star power, the lobby was decked out in grandeur with large canvas prints of former honorees including Angela Basset (“What’s Love Got To Do With It,” “911”), Kirk Franklin (“Stomp,” “God Can Do All Things”), Sanaa Lathan (“Love & Basketball,” “The Best Man”), hip hop legend Snoop Dogg and more.

Over the years, Hollywood Confidential’s meteoric rise has consistently garnered more acclaim, making it one of the hottest events in town for those seeking their way into the elusive entertainment industry. Attendees can expect to receive knowledge, inspiration, and real-time advice from some of Hollywood’s elite. Jones has diversified his brand by offering acting workshops and collaborating with the “who’s who” of the industry while simultaneously giving people an opportunity to network with other aspiring artists on the rise.  He has bestowed awards to trailblazers such as actress/entrepreneur, Tabitha Brown, and rising stars including actor, Derrick A. King (“The Game,” “Run the World”).

Jones, Brown and Gibbs each announced forthcoming books in the near future. Jones recently secured a book deal in which he will detail some of the lessons and tips to success that he has learned throughout his 10-year tenure interviewing past guests for Hollywood Confidential.
