*Lenny Kravitz made his TikTok debut over the weekend wearing the infamous gigantic scarf that became a viral meme in 2012.

“Grab your big scarf, it’s the first day of fall,” Kravitz said in his post.

In the comments, one fan wrote, “Lenny Kravitz is our Mariah Carey for fall.”

Another TikTok user commented, “I can’t imagine anyone else I’d rather have tell me that it’s the first day of fall.”

A third person said, “Who better to announce fall than the Lenny Kravitz.”

Kravitz also announced the return of the scarf on his X (formerly Twitter) page, captioning it, “The Big Scarf 2.0.”

“I live in the Bahamas, I’m used to hot weather, and I had to go to the store. I was buying some groceries, and I thought I’d put on a little scarf to protect my throat, and that’s the scarf I had,” Kravitz said in 2018 about his oversized scarf, The Messenger reports. 

“Hey, the guy who made that scarf — who you can blame this on — he made that scarf and he gave it to me and that was the day I thought I’d break it out. I had no idea that there would be [photographers] and that is now everything,” he continued, Us Weekly reports.

In a 2020 interview with GQ, Kravitz reacted to the viral memes.

“Okay, the scarf is big, but the internet has made the scarf enormous. You look at some of those [images] and it’s just like, ‘Okay guys, the scarf is three times bigger than it really is in this picture,’ but it was big and it was cold,” Kravitz said. 

“It’s funny to see, especially on Halloween. People either do the Lenny Kravitz look — the onstage look — or they do the scarf,” he continued. “And it’s funny, I saw some pictures yesterday of this little kid who did the whole thing perfectly down to the plastic bag coming from the grocery store.”
