*Say what you will about Coco Austin, but it’s a fact she doesn’t let negativity stand in the way of enjoying the time she spends with her daughter. So much so that Coco, the wife of legendary rapper Ice-T, has posted a new set of photos with her daughter Chanel.
In the new set, Coco captures a fun time out at the pool with Chanel. The outing comes after the pair spent the summer traveling with LL Cool J and artists featured on the rhymesayers’ “F.O.R.C.E. Tour.” The trek, which featured a who’s who of rappers recently wrapped just before Labor Day.
Wearing matching black and white striped bathing suits, Coco and Chanel, are featured in the photos with two friends near the pool at the Ritz-Carlton, Marina del Rey. The new pictures were posted on September 13.
“After we were on a mini @llcoolj #forcetour with Ice. The girls had a fun pool day on Labor Day to relax after we have been running around!,” Coco shared in her caption. “Of course, we had to continue our matchy match tradition swimsuits @sugardollllz Swipe for more!” she wrote in her caption.
Although it seems automatic to see comments blasting Austin for her choice of revealing bathing suits or just being a “bad mom,” the reaction surrounding the mother’s newest pictures was … positive. As noted by the Atlanta Black Star, many commenters shared their view on how cute Coco and Chanel looked in their matching attire.

“I love the photo of your daughter in your arms. This picture doesn’t need words. It’s just adorable,” one person wrote, while another person labeled Austin and Chanel as “mama & daughter cuteness overload.”
“When I see your post it just makes me smile, you seem Unbothered and living your blessed life. LOVE IT!,” a third person stated.
Coco’s photos are the latest in her efforts to shine a light on her daughter. The positive feedback is a far cry from comments the 44-year-old mom received after sharing a controversial video she made in September 2002 that showed her bathing a six-year-old Chanel in a kitchen sink.
According to Coco, the action was “easiest” for her to quickly wash her daughter up in the sink before they headed to her fashion show since she only had “an hour” to get ready. Despite her good intentions, the bathing was met with immediate criticism of Coco and her parenting skills.
Fortunately, Ice-T stepped in to defend his wife and praise his wife for being a good mother in a clip that aired during Coco’s appearance on “The Tamron Hall Show”
” … to my wife Coco. You are the most incredible person I’ve ever met, the nicest person I’ve ever met, and the best mother to Chanel that anyone could possibly imagine,” the rapper said. “I love you to death. Twenty-two years, baby, and it gets better every day.”
