*Whoah! Look who’s out here freakin’ folks out. But it’s a good thing. We’re talking about non-other than Jamie Foxx … out in public, giving folks their FIRST look since his hospitalization in Atlanta. Bottom line … Mr. Foxx’s recovery seems to be going very well.

In video footage obtained by TMZ, Foxx is seen Sunday afternoon (07-09-23) on a nice size boat on the Chicago River, smiling and waving and looking real good. In fact, as the boat from which the video was shot, passed by the passengers shouted out love to him and he responded.

In the video, we also get a quick glimpse of a few others onboard as well. We’re guessing they were family members. If so, that makes sense because they’ve been at his side throughout this entire ordeal and it’s been documented they’ve been visiting him during his rehab time in the Second City.

Seeing the multi-talented star out in public is super encouraging because, as you know, there’s been a lot of speculation about his condition. Even as of today he, nor his camp, has spoken on what exactly he’s been dealing with.

Here’s another positive update TMZ can provide … we’ve seen more footage of Jamie spending a night out on the town in the Chicago area Saturday, getting active on his feet, no less, and looking to be in great spirits there too.

That clip is yet an extra sign that the man appears to be doing fairly okay at this point … and that he’s perhaps ready to start venturing out more and more as he gets back to 100%.

Glad to see you, Mr. Foxx. As is the rest of the world, no doubt.
