*UFC president Dana White says Elon Musk and Mark Zuckerberg are “dead serious” about fighting in the Octagon.
Earlier this week, Zuckerberg accepted Musk’s “cage match” challenge on Twitter. White told TMZ Sports that he spoke with both billionaires about the potential face-off.
“Mark Zuckerberg hit me up first and said ‘is he serious?’” White told the outlet. When he contacted Musk, the Tesla CEO told him: “Yeah, I’m dead serious.”
White is apparently in the early stages of planning the event, which he said: “will be the biggest fight ever in the history of the world, bigger than anything that’s ever been done.” White added, “It would break all pay-per-view records.”

A UFC pay-per-view usually costs $80, but White said a Musk-Zuckerberg match would cost viewers $100. Musk suggested Las Vegas as the location for the fight.
“Vegas Octagon,” Musk tweeted Wednesday.
Social media users have mixed reactions to the potential “cage match,” with one Twitter user posting “This is the kind of half-baked plot twist you get when there’s a writer’s strike #WritersStrike.”
Another wrote, “Unless this is a fight like in the movie Bloodsport, then I don’t wanna see it. To the death or nothing.”
A third commented, “Seriously bad idea. Z has won two professional jujitsu matches. M acknowledges he doesn’t work out, let alone train regularly in the martial arts.”
As CNBC reports, Musk and Zuckerberg have a history of beef. Zuckerberg’s UFC challenge comes amid reports that his Meta company is building on a rival to Twitter.
