This flexible
Helmet protects football players from serious concussions. The outer shell is composed of a bendable plastic that helps slow impacts down. Below the outer shell is an impact absorbing layer made of special filaments. They move omnidirectionally, which means they can react to collisions from anywhere, or any angle.
Neurology research suggests a 5% reduction in force of impact could decrease concussion risk by over 40%. In drop and rotational tests, the Zero1 Helmet was able to reduce it by 20-50%. VicisPro Inc. has already received $10 million in funding for Zero1. $500,000 of that has come from the NFL. THere were 200 reported concussions in the League thia year alone.
