Natural Remedies For Razor Rashes

Tea Tree Oil

Tea Tree Oil is known to work the best when your skin needs a little help. This lovely oil is a natural antibacterial and antifungal agent. In its purest form, tea tree oil is rather strong and it needs to be diluted in a little water before use. A drop or a couple at the most is sufficient for application on the irritated skin. Leave the oil on for ten minutes and wash off with warm water. Use this remedy a few times a week to prevent ingrown hair and razor burns.

Aloe Vera

Aloe vera is a soothing agent recommended by Mother nature. Extract gel from your own aloe vera plant by snipping off the top of a leaf and gently squeezing it on to the rash. You could also use a store bought gel that does not have any artificial colour or fragrance. Apply the gel directly on to the razor burn. The aloe vera should calm the rash or the burning sensation and provide relief.

Tea Bags

Soak a tea bag in some warm water. When the water has changed colour, remove the bag and chill it in the refrigerator for 10 minutes. Place the cold tea bag over the irritated, inflamed skin. Leave it on for about twenty minutes. Use this remedy for razor bumps twice a week or on the days you shave to prevent pain and burning.
