Among the brands competing for attention were Mercedes-Benz which, besides the EQ concept, also showcased the rugged but upscale X-Class pickup truck. Daimler AG's luxury brand is positioning this midsize pickup as more than just a workhorse; they hope it appeals to people who want to combine commercial use and off-road capability with personal transportation. Also on show were several futuristic designs including cars that could fly. Italdesign Pop.Up Airbus even has multiple rotors and can carry two people. Volkswagen put on display a very radical version of its famous van. Called the I.D. Buzz. reports claim the electric microbus will likely make it to production with VW making a few real-world changes to the overall design.
