105 Year Old Cleanliness Revolutionary - Kunwar Bai Yadav

Ever heard of a toilet that costs 10 goats? Meet Kunwar Bai Yadav, 105, from Chhattisgarh who made headlines for building the first toilet of her village. Inspired by the Clean India Mission, she decided to build a toilet in her house! In order to do so, she sold her goats for a sum of Rs 12k.

A bold step considering livestock is a means of livelihood in rural areas. This act did not just inspire the village but the entire state of Chhattisgarh. She was felicitated by the Prime Minister for her efforts to make her village 'open defecation free'.
