The new Nvidia Shield TV is a smaller, sleeker Andriod TV microconsole. It uses the same Tegra X1 processor as the first shield TV, but it's still one of the most powerful android gaming devices available.

You can play android games locally or stream pc games from your Nvidia based computer. You can also play games streamed from Nvidia's own gaming servers over geforce now.

The new controller is also smaller and lighter than the old one. It's microphone can handle far field voice commands. hands free google assistant will be added to the shield tv later this year.
