Asin Thottumkal is an Indian Film Actress. Asin Thottumkal was born on 26th of October, 1985 in Cochin, Kerala, India. Asin Thottumkal, popularly known as Asin is an Indian Film actress, model and a stage performer. Making her acting debut in Sathyan Anthikkad's Malayalam film 'Narendra Makan Jayakanthan Vaka' (2001), Asin had her first commercial success with 'Amma Nanna O Tamila Ammayi' in 2003, and won a Filmfare Best Telugu Actress Award for the film. After a number of films, she received her second South Filmfare Award for Best Actress for her performance in her second Tamil film, 'Ghajini' (2005). She played the lead female roles in blockbusters, the thriller Ghajini (2005) and the action comedy Varalaru (2006).
Asin Bollywood Career :
Asin appeareance in Vipul Shah's "London Dreams" alongside Salman Khan and Ajay Devgan, in which she played a member of a five-troupe band. She was also seen in the superhit film "Ready" with Salman Khan. Asin's latest release was "Housefull 2".
She speaks a wide range of languages such as Malyalam, Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, Sanskrit, English, French, and may well be the only Indian actress with a Blogspot in French. She is very active in various functions throughout Southern India, and credits her good upbringing to her parents, who she considers her role models. She was the winner of an entrepreneurial award as a teenager. She is fond of reading and has a huge collection of books.
Asin, along with her mom and dad, have left their Harrington Road apartment at Chetpet, Chennai, and have re-located to an apartment in Lokhandwala Complex, in Andheri (West), Mumbai, in order to enable her to debut in Bollywood movies.
