Actor Ranjan Sehgal who is known for his performance as Ravindra Pandit in Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Randeep Hooda starrer Sarbjit, has died of Multiple Organ Failure on 11th July. Ranjan was just 36. He had been a part of many television shows like Crime Patrol, Sabki Ladli Bebo, Gustakh Dil, Tum Dena Sath Mera and Bhawar, etc.
The Actor took his last breath at a hospital in Chandigarh. The Cine & TV Artistes’ Association (CINTAA) has posted their condolences via Twitter. The Tweet read, “#CINTAA expresses its deepest condolences on the demise of Ranjan Sehgal (Member since Nov 2010).”

The year 2020 has reported many deaths in the entertainment media including Sushant Singh Rajput, Irrfan Khan, Rishi Kapoor, Saroj Khan, Jagdeep, and Wajid Khan. Ranjan Sehgal’s producer friend Om Doliya is in a state of shock from his demise. Om recently spoke with indianexpress.com. He said, “It’s a huge shock for all of us. Just a day before, we had a conversation regarding an upcoming show on Zee Punjabi. He was quite happy with the role. I never saw this coming. I had known him for ten years.”

Ranjan Sehgal started his career with Panjabi theatre. He even had a master’s degree in theatre from Panjab University. Later, he moved to Mumbai to pursue his dream of becoming an actor and making a mark through his performance. This news has certainly come as a shock to his fans and family.
