New adidas Gazelle concept sneaker features luxury material Alcantara

The new luxury version of the classic adidas Gazelle Sneaker features the Italian-made luxury material Alcantara as part of the adidas Consortium Sneakers Exchange.

The "concept" sneaker is the result of a collaboration between prominent Japanese and Italian retailers,
United Arrows & Sons and Slam Jam.

The new sneaker was designed using materials sourced from the two retailers' respective countries.

The shoe's designers utilized ivory-colored Alcantara for the uppers of the shoe and includes an Alcantara brand logo tag on the left shoe.

The two companies explored how to repurpose high-quality materials for a product that would strike a chord with fans of contemporary sneaker culture.

In addition to the Alcantara upper, the Gazelle concept features 100-percent-cotton Ikeuchi Organic toweling for the interior of the sneaker.

It also has a tongue borrowed from the adidas Samba with co-branding on various parts of the shoe.

The result is an understated sneaker with a subtle, low-key elegance.

The Gazelle concept sneaker is available from the United Arrows and Slam Jam websites, and from adidas Consortium retailers.
