Within 30 days, HBO will bid farewell to one of its most successful series, Succession. After four seasons, the premium cable network will air the final episode of the series on May 28, 2023. With the finale nearing, the show’s composer, Nicholas Britell, has offered a bit of insight into the show’s final chapter.

Emmy-winning Composer Nicholas Britell has informed Variety that the show’s final episode is expected to be 90 minutes long. In his words, it’s “like a movie.”

“It’s 90 minutes,” Britell told the publication.

“It’s a huge episode — like a movie.”

The show’s cinematic ending is fitting for its chaotic nature. Heading into the second half of the final season, the Roy children are left scrambling for answers following their father’s sudden passing. Kendall and Roman have taken over as chief executive officers of Waystar while Shive remains involved in the decision-making process. Not to mention, Greg, Tom and Connor remain in the shuffle as they figure out what their next moves will be.

As we hurdle toward the final episode, check out a sneak peek of this week’s episode below.
