DeAndre Hopkins Trade Unlikely During 2023 NFL Draft

According to Arizona Cardinals General Manager Monti Ossenfort, a 2023 NFL Draft night trade involving Wide Receiver Deandre Hopkins is unlikely. The team is still working to get a deal done with a team, but it seems that the 2023 NFL Draft will have to end before the team looks to get the deal done. This means a draft pick from this year is unlikely to be included in the deal. Hopkins has been in trade rumors for some time and the Cardinals have confirmed they are looking to move on from the veteran wide receiver.

This past season with the Arizona Cardinals despite serving a suspension DeAndre Hopkins caught 64 passes for 717 yards and three touchdowns on 96 targets. While his numbers were down this year overall, Hopkins is still viewed as one of the better wide receivers in the NFL. While a trade could quickly and happen within a month, Arizona will be looking for the right return for the former All-Pro wide receiver. Several teams have been linked to a possible deal, but for now, nothing has been done between the Cardinals and another team. Hopkins will be looking to prove he is still a top option next year on his new NFL team.
