Who’s up for a political debate in the state of Georgia? It appears that potential U.S. Senator Herschel Walker and MSNBC’s Joy-Ann Reid are ready to spar verbally on camera.

The most recent back and forth between Reid and Walker stems from the political candidate’s recent appearance on FOX News. When asked about the upcoming Senate election in Georgia, Walker appeared to say the word, “erection,” instead of “election.”

“Well, first of all, this election is more than Herschel Walker. This erection is about the people,” Walker appeared to say.

Despite his verbal miscue, the team at FOX News seemingly moved on without missing a beat. However, Twitter caught hold of it and began firing off jokes. Joining in on the comedic exercise, Joy-Ann Reid offered her thoughts.

“The ancestors are weeping. And why does he always need these handlers (who can’t even stop him from embarrassing himself.) Just humiliating,” Reid tweeted in reference to Walker’s recent FOX News appearance.

Shortly after Reid made her feelings known about the former Georgia football star, Walker returned to FOX News.

“I‘d love to debate Joy Reid,” he said, per New York Daily News.

“I say, any day of the week she wants to debate, she can show up here and I’ll debate her as well on any subject.”

Given that Reid speaks each and every weekday, she did not hesitate to put her political and oratory muscles to work in a debate.

“Okay, Herschel, come on,” Reid said, per New York Daily News.

“No, seriously. We reached out to your team. We will have you on the ‘ReidOut’ any day. And we can debate. Just tell us when.”

Before Reid and Walker can share airtime on MSNBC, Walker will need to get by his political opponent, Raphael Walker. After both men failed to garner 50% of the vote in November. The two will participate in a runoff election in December.
