Netflix Issues The Final ‘Squid Game: The Challenge’ Casting Call

Netflix has made the final casting call for its developing reality SeriesSquid Game: The Challenge. Inspired by the success of the scripted drama, the streaming platform has announced that it will be bringing together contestants from around the world who will compete for a multi-million dollar prize. Fortunately, no one will die in the making of this series. Losers will simply return home to their loved ones.

Squid Game took the world by storm with Director Hwang’s captivating story and iconic imagery. We’re grateful for his support as we turn the fictional world into reality in this massive competition and social experiment,” Brandon Riegg of Netflix told Variety.

“Fans of the drama series are in for a fascinating and unpredictable journey as our 456 real-world contestants navigate the biggest competition series ever, full of tension and twists, with the biggest ever cash prize at the end.”

A second season of the hit drama series, Squid Game, is in the works, but it is unclear when it will return to the streaming service. As season two is sorted out, the Netflix product continues to clean up at award shows. At the 74th Primetime Emmy Awards, the series won the “Outstanding Directing for a Drama Series” and “Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series” categories. It was also nominated in five other categories.
