Over the past few months, the DMV has made noise in the world of music. However, much of the scene has been dominated by R&B. Last month, Dremaville’s Ari Lennox dropped her debut album, Shea Butter Baby. In addition, she announced her next headlining tour. Also, Virginia’s Marco McKinnis has broken on to the scene with features in The Fader and Rolling Stone. Other acts like Masego and Brent Faiyaz are riding high of fourth quarter projects from 2018. With all of that going on, there are a few MCs in the DMV ready to make their voices heard. Wale had a busy 2018 and so did Shy Glizzy. One artist looking to make their voice heard in 2018 is Goldlink.

Goldlink is back and he’s gearing up for a new album. After dropping a single with Miguel and doing a few special shows in Washington, D.C. last year, Goldlink is back with his second brand new single. Following up “Got Muscle,” Goldlink is back with “Zulu Screams” featuring Bibi Bourelly and Maleek Berry. Unlike “Got Muscle,” this track comes with a new video as well. Check out the latest visuals from the Grammy-nominated artist. Be on the look out for his next major project set to drop later this year if we’re lucky.
