Throughout the year, we have rolled out our new series, #FirstToTheAux. In an effort to spotlight new and upcoming artists, we have used the series to let you know who’s next up. During the early portions of the series, we have used the platform to spotlight artists like Dele, Thutmose, Coi Leray, Cautious Clay and Jayy Grams just to name a few. Among those featured in the series was a rapper out of Texas by the name of Tobe Nwigwe.

Coming out of Houston, the former football star has used his talents to spotlight his faith and family. In the months since appearing on the series, Nwigwe has appeared on the Right Time With Bomani Jones, The Ringer and returned to Sway In the Morning. All the while, Tobe has remained true to his fans by dropping a new song every Sunday.

All of his hard work has led him to tonight where he appeared on the 2018 BET Hip Hop Awards alongside YBN Cordae, Blocboy JB and Duckworth. Never one to disappoint, Tobe killed it with one of the best verses in all of the cyphers. Watch the full cypher above and let us know who you think had the best verse.
