Coming off a great 2017, Jessie Reyez has had a year that has seen success and obstacles that she must overcome. During the first half of 2018, Jessie Reyez collaborated with everyone from A Boogie and Russ to the up and coming Canadian act, Black Atlass. The Toronto native has also found time to release four songs from her upcoming album and a non-album single featuring Daniel Caesar. Midway through the year, Jessie Reyez also dealt with a bit of controversy when she and Bebe Rexha accused famed producer, Detail, of sexual assault. In the midst of dealing with the backlash that may come from speaking out, Jessie Reyez has moved forward and earned herself two MTV Video Music Award nominations. Not to mention, she took the stage at this year’s awards and delivered a performance of her song, “Apple Juice”.

Fresh off of delivering a glowing performance at the 2018 MTV Video Music Awards, Jessie Reyez has announced a the remix of her song, “Bodycount”, featuring Normani and Kehlani. The original record takes a stab at the double standards of sexual freedom experienced by men as opposed to women. Given the social stances that all three artists have taken in their own art, this will definitely be one of the most talked about records in music this year. Check out the art work now and be sure to come back on Friday for the full record.
