Lottie Takes On Dwarfism

Introducing Lottie’s most recent addition to their range, the Sinéad Doll, inspired by Sinéad Burke. Produced in collaboration with Little People of Ireland and Sinéad herself, the idea came about when she met with Ian Harkin, CEO of Arklu, and boldly said, “You should make a little person doll.” Lottie is known for creating dolls that are inspired by inspirational people, so it’s no surprise that they did just that!

Who is Sinéad Burke? She’s a contributing Editor to British Vogue, an Irish writer, academic, influencer, activist, broadcaster and inspiring role model. (View her Ted Talk here.) Sinéad has achondroplasia, the most common form of Dwarfism, and stands no taller than 3 feet 5 inches tall. Her journey into the world of activism started when, at 16, she started a fashion blog to call out the industry on the limited choices for those of her size. When the industry wouldn’t allow her to join in on the conversation, she took things into her own hands and has been doing that ever since.

Lottie’s take on Sinéad shares the proportions of those with achondroplasia. Lottie’s official website is taking pre-orders now, with orders expected to ship by Christmas. This doll retails for $20.00. For each sale, $1.00 will be donated to Little People of Ireland. She’s a limited edition, so get her while you can.
