Maureen O’Hara

Is there a better way to celebrate All Saints Day than chatting with KGO radio’s divine Maureen Langan?  I think not. Particularly when one of the topics was remembering the cinematic saint that was, is, and always will be Maureen O’Hara, who passed away recently at the age of 91. Mo gently corrected me when I picked my favorite O’Hara film, and then shared a memory from her childhood in which Miss O’Hara loomed large.

We also talked about why THE PEANUTS MOVIE will delight fans of all ages, why OUR BRAND IS CRISIS won’t, why NASTY BABY confirms Kristen Wiig as one of the finest dramatic actors of our time, why SPOTLIGHT reminds us all of what investigative journalism used to be (and should be again), and why CRIMSON PEAK is such a darn fine fright fest worth seeing even though Halloween 2015 has receded into the past.  It was also an opportunity for Mo to share again her love for Stanley Tucci, an actor who brings so much humanity to every role he plays.
