Transgressive Management curates a roster of five UK-based artists, striving to lead music, art and culture in its curative output, as well as aspiring to work with the most progressive talent. and fascinating of our time. Our new Head of Touring and Logistics will play a pivotal role in the management arm of Transgressive, driving/steering the live/touring international artist storylines and associated logistics.

Roles and responsibilities

Leadership and execution in the following (but not limited to):

• Sourcing and management of live crew / production staff for our artists’ international performances and tours – eg: tour directors, FOH sound engineers, lighting directors, etc.
• Budget creation, management and reconciliation for touring and live appearance activities – attention to detailed route management and profitability
• Liaise and manage the live team to ensure the successful execution and delivery of live activities or appearances
• Coordinating and booking rehearsals for artists and all band/crew members
• Support in assembling and managing band members for artist tours
• The creation and management of live itineraries – for example the creation of a “tour book”, either individually or in association with appointed tour managers
• Visa Submissions – coordinating details and ensuring proper initial submissions for successful applications globally
• Equipment and material coordination – ensuring the right instruments, materials and equipment for each artist before, during and after the tour, including notebooks
• Management of merchandising and recording stock – pre-tour planning as well as on-road logistics and subsequent reconciliation
• Committed to advancing and improving the lives and well-being of our artists on the road
  The music industry is an ever-changing landscape and we will be looking for someone who has hands-on live and touring industry experience, existing contacts and is open to change as well as practical problem solving .

Candidate Attributes

The winning candidate will possess excellent organizational skills, excellent English language proficiency (to handle communications on behalf of the roster), and share the company’s love and appetite for recorded music and in directly in all its forms.

• They will be able to work clearly and effectively to brief, establish budgets, deadlines, and work as hard on assigned tasks solo as they do as part of a team effort.
• Experience with live band setups is essential, as is a basic understanding of musical equipment and gear.
• The candidate will possess a positive and proactive, “can do” attitude, demonstrating enthusiasm and passion to continue to learn, grow and progress within one of the UK’s leading independent music companies.
• Most importantly, experience and the ability to communicate positively and harmoniously with artists is central to the role.

Salary: Competitive.

Start date: To be discussed – end of September / beginning of October 2022 is preferable but will depend on the candidate.

Location: The role will involve working remotely and in the office – Transgressive is based in North London – as well as on location depending on an artist’s itinerary and schedule. Travel will take place regularly as part of the function.
