production coordinator

This Los Angeles-based administrative position supports our creative and production services department, which oversees pre-launch project needs including photo shoots, packaging design and printing, product manufacturing finished products, digital distribution and metadata, creation of physical and digital Marketing Materials, proofreading and editing of credits and marketing materials, and certain supply chain and inventory logistics.

Responsibilities include

• Set up and maintain the project portal and production sheets for all new releases
• Import assets to shared drives and link to project portal
• Coordinate new product shipments with vendors and distributors and ensure product is delivered on time for sale date
• Coordinate promotional allowance mailings for new releases
• Create a monthly shipping report
• Place purchase orders/verify requisitions, process invoices and track expenses in accounting system and production journal
• Proofread credits, packaging, bios, press releases, email sends, and other marketing materials
• Resize photos, cover art files, and other graphics as needed
• Create new unique charts and sheets, as needed
• Coordinate setup of mp3s with vinyl vendors for fulfillment of download cards
• Attend meetings and take detailed notes to distribute to the team
• General administrative support for the department.

Qualifications:

• 1 to 3 years of experience in the music industry
• Exceptional organizational skills
• Exceptional attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously within varying timelines
• Proficiency in English language and grammar
• Able to work independently and take initiative and take ownership
• Photoshop and InDesign skills a big plus! Although this is not a graphic design position, there will be opportunities for creative work, if desired.
