Expression Of Interest: Speakers In Music Business And Cultural Theory

The Bimm Institute Dublin is currently seeking expressions of interest for keynote speakers and lecturers in the fields of Music business and cultural theory. We are looking for experienced lecturers as well as music industry experts who may be new to teaching but who can bring a wealth of knowledge and experience to our students.

We have opportunities for scheduled teaching hours from September 2022 as well as covering teaching/substitute and guest lectures on an ad hoc basis. BIMM provides in-house training and professional development for all speakers, especially those new to teaching. If you already have a graduate or postgraduate degree, this will be advantageous.

Schedules vary according to the subject and the number of students. Delivery will start from September 26, but there will be some training/development required before that. Some aspects of the roles can be carried out remotely while others (such as delivery) will be delivered on site to Bimm Institute Dublin.

Essential criteria
• A high level of understanding of the local and international music industry
• Confident communicator: strong presentation and interpersonal skills

Desirable criteria
• Studied at the undergraduate or postgraduate level
• Actively engage in the music industry
• Proven experience in public speaking; present to small or large groups
• Experience with academic writing, Harvard referencing, program design and grade reviews.
