job description

This position is ideal for someone with experience in music or media marketing and a passion for our artists. You will be driven, able to take the core of an idea and execute it. You will have an independent mindset and will always be looking for new ways to excite fans. You will be detail- and results-oriented, creative, collaborative, and highly motivated to contribute to the health of a cutting-edge independent music culture.

Responsibilities

• Create and deliver tailored marketing and sales initiatives, from simple email list growth campaigns to headline-grabbing announcements and events.
• Identify instances of viral growth and implement timely strategies to sustain those moments.
• Drive a platform optimization strategy for all labels including but not limited to playlists, YouTube, Twitch, Discord, Facebook, etc.
• Maintain and share best practices with artist teams so they can incorporate these elements into plans.
• Plan and propose strategies to grow, grow and enhance artist/label fan following both within and outside of new release schedules.
• Report back to the team with meaningful results and data, e.g. ROI, traffic, sources, engagements, etc.
• Create briefs, evaluate approach and monitor activity in selected advertising campaigns.
• Identify emerging partners and services that can provide exciting new opportunities for our labels and artists.

Required Skills

• You’ll have a burning passion for new music and contemporary culture, a knowledge and understanding of our roster, and a desire to delve deeper.
• You will have a proven track record of success in delivering major global marketing projects and audience growth initiatives.
• You will understand and be able to take an innovative approach to new technologies and how to use them to develop new and more traditional revenue streams.
• You will be an excellent communicator, as comfortable speaking to the teams, as to the artists and the management. You will be able to work effectively across departments and bring people together.
• You will be able to balance multiple projects and responsibilities at once with exceptional time management skills.
• You will have the opportunity to travel and will be happy to spend time working from our various offices.
• Direct work experience in music/artistic marketing is good but not essential, you can come from an agency, brand or other similar organization.
• A qualification in marketing would be desirable but is not essential with a good experience.
