First, it is always an honor to capture weddings at these exquisite venues. There is so much history and hard work done behind the scenes that make these places so special to photograph at.

Our list is going to have a slant toward eye-catching because, well… we’re photographers and Love shooting in locations that get our creative juices flowing. So, if you’re looking for a great backdrop to your wedding then look no further. Needless to say you and your guests will also have an incredible time at any of these great places in Miami. They are all top notch and have done an incredible job for our clients.

So without further ado and in no particular order here is a list of our favorite wedding venues in Miami:

Estancia Culinaria

A word from the venue: “Just 30 minutes by car, away from the hustle and bustle of Miami awaits Estancia Culinaria. We are an authentic family farmstead encompassing 15 acres with over 870 organic avocado trees. Estancia is an oasis of calm complimented by a wooden farmhouse, horse paddocks, coral rock chapel and walking trails that invite your exploration. Come and experience the gracious hospitality of days gone by.” – Estancia Culinaria

What we love about this place:
We love the sweet family that meticulously cares for this place. They seem to really know how to deliver an amazing wedding experience. The layout could not be any more ideal. The place is incredible looking and does not feel anything like South Florida. Plus from what I’ve heard they only allow weddings during certain times of the year. Which makes it a bit exclusive and open during times when the weather is nice. I think that’s awesome!

Our favorite spot on the venue for pictures:
The chapel is pretty incredible looking for the ceremony location but there is something really special toward the back of the venue you will find a staircase + wall covered in aged wood panels. It’s incredible looking in photos. Really that entire back area is intimate and gorgeous looking. It’s a perfect place to steal the bride and groom away from the guests for sunset pics.

Vizcaya Museum and Gardens

A word from the venue: “Imagine a historic Italian estate in a spectacular subtropical setting and you’ll begin to imagine Vizcaya! Built as the private winter home of American businessman James Deering in the early 1900s, Vizcaya is now open year-round for your enjoyment. We invite you to experience the beauty and history of Vizcaya’s majestic Main House and expansive bayfront gardens, just moments from downtown Miami.” – Vizcaya Museum and Gardens

What we love about this place:
When you get inside it literally feels like you’re in Italy. It’s a breath of fresh air amidst the hustle and bustle of Miami. We also love that you have so many options to work with. Most venues have one or two hot spots. It’s almost overwhelming the amount of spots you could go to and get an incredible shot. You sort of feel like you didn’t cover enough of this place when you get done.

Our favorite spot on the venue for pictures:
Just through the secret garden you will find a small staircase leading up into an alcove covered in green vines. Close to sunset this spot becomes perfectly backlit which is ideal for bridal portraits or a first look.

What we love about this place:
We love the architecture and ornate detail in ceilings of the lobby and ballrooms. Everywhere you go in this place is filled with rich history and luxury.

Our favorite spot on the venue for pictures:
The green walls surrounding the atrium just behind the foyer is pretty awesome looking. Great spot for a first look. This area is generally very quiet.

Cruz Building

A word from the venue: “The Cruz Building, Coconut Grove offers you the perfect storybook setting. The glamorous 3-level venue is adorned with soaring atrium ceilings, monumental stained-glass windows, majestic marble staircases for grand entrances, European and French/New Orleans architectural antiques, romantic interior balconies and sweeping outdoor terraces—all romantically illuminated by interior gas flame lanterns and glistening antique crystal chandeliers. Imagine having three beautiful and distinctly different levels—and open air courtyards—for you to enjoy throughout your lavish event. Whether you choose to introduce your guests to individual levels and terraces throughout the evening, creating an element of surprise, or give them the freedom to meander freely on their journey from floor to floor, there’s no doubt that it’ll be an event to treasure and remember.” – The Cruz Building

What we love about this place:
We love the 3 levels this place has with the overlooking balcony. It’s a really unique layout. Plus the New Orleans feels is pretty awesome. It doesn’t take much to make this place look great!

Our favorite spot on the venue for pictures:
Upstairs bridal sweet has unbelievable lighting and ambiance. As well as the upstairs room surrounded by the tall windows. You can get some really cool portraits up here.

The Deering Estate at Cutler

From canoe tours to butterfly walks and guided nature hikes, the Deering Estate has diverse activities for the whole family to enjoy. What we love about this place:
We love the little tour they give you on the golf cart for pictures. I’m not sure if they always do it but its such a nice feature the last time we had a wedding there. It’s a really big garden so having the option to jump in a cart and hit up a lot of spots in a short amount of time is a life saver.

Our favorite spot on the venue for pictures:
The tranquil lake behind the ceremony is pretty sweet. Sometimes we’ll have the bride and groom walk out on the other side of the lake. It’s perfect later in the day since you can see their reflection off the water.

His interesting, open air designs of central courtyards and large loggias with Spanish arches particularly adapted to the Miami climate with its warm tropical breezes.
