Theme: Write a sonnet or villanelle about friendship “If Words Could Speak” is a villanelle, a poem containging five stanzas of three lines and one of four. The rhyming scheme is aba, aba, aba, aba, aba, abaa. The first and third lines of the poem form the last lines of the four subsequent stanzas in alternation. The last stanza ends with the 1st and 3rd lines as a rhymed couplet.
