Watkins (1829-1916) Process: albumen silver print from glass negative American Photographer Carleton E. Watkins is mostly known for his landscape images, especially those of the Yosemite Valley. His work was instrumental in helping turn the area into a national park, and paved the way for the U.S. National Park System. Mount Watkins was named after him.
