Herbert Lake, Canada

Herbert Lake is a small glacial lake in Banff National Park, in Canada. It is part of the Icefields Parkway, a 230-km road that runs from Jasper to Lake Louise, and that features a never-ending treasure trove of scenic views. I chanced upon Herbert Lake in 2018, during a week-long trip in Alberta. It was around 10 a.m. and, as you can see, the weather was gorgeous. I spent almost two hours taking photos and chatting with other people. That lake actually turned out to be the highlight of the trip! And now, a haiku! Summer morning —perfect symmetryhas found its lake. ©2019 Cendrine Marrouat NB: Before using any of my photos on social media, please contact me at [email protected].
