Star Wars Black Series & Vintage Collection Livestream Reveals.

Today Hasbro held a Star Wars Livestream and revealed a number of products for the Black Series and Vintage Collection. We got our first look at the next lot of Archive figures for the Black Series and they aren’t any different from the last versions of the characters as they already had the face printing tech on them for the three human characters which are Skiff Guard Lando, Dengar and Emperor Palpatine. Though I should say that the prices of these have crept up on the secondary market for Dengar and the Emperor(which was a deluxe release with the throne) especially. You can still get Lando and C3-PO for reasonable prices.

For the Vintage Collection Archive line, there was a 501st Clone Trooper which like the four figures I listed above will be up for pre-order tomorrow and will be released in the fall of this year. The pipeline reveals there were only two for the Vintage Collection line which is a new Episode II Anakin Skywalker and Mandalorian Commando.

On the subject of pipeline reveals for the archive line for the Black Series there is A New Hope Chewbacca, Grand Moff Tarkin, Return of The Jedi Boussh Disguise Leia, and, The Force Awakens Han Solo. I personally think this is a great lineup especially as none of The Force Awakens characters had face printing tech used and that pretty much still counts for most of the characters from the sequel trilogy for that matter.

The big reveal was for the Vintage Collection which was a Book of Boba Fett Jabba’s Palace Diorama set. Now, this is a fantastic-looking albeit very expensive set which looks tremendous. This is what we see from the end of the second season of The Mandalorian and some of what we see from The Book of Boba Fett when Boba has taken over.

You get a lot of accessories with this set including a figure of fat Bib Fortuna who promptly gets killed in the teaser to The Book of Boba Fett. I especially love the throne and I would love to see that in the Black Series as it would be a fun display piece. I should mention this piece costs$230.00

Then finally onto the Black Series reveals of new figure we had for the Gaming Greats line Nightbrother Archer from Jedi Fallen Order which is the re-use of the Nightbrother they did which hasn’t come out in the US yet. Then the big reveals were the pipeline reveals which were Aayla Secura, Clone Wars Series 7 Darth Maul and Rogue One Saw Gerrera. I am most excited for Darth Maul as he is such a great character from The Clone Wars series and I have wanted a figure from his look in the series with his robotic legs. I hope they give him a different head sculpt as well for the newly sculpted body as there’s no re-use in that so it should come with a new head. I really love the idea of Saw as he has such a toyetic look I am curious to see how it looks in the black series line.

Not only that the next wave has been fully revealed and will be up for pre-order tomorrow even though it’s been already found in some parts of the United States for the last week or so. I have no idea when they’ll be coming to the UK nor the prior wave with Boba and Fennec which hasn’t seen a wider release even then in the States. Again this is a fantastic wave and I would love to get them. I would especially like to get The Client, Ashoka, and the Death Watch Mandalorian. Also, I would really like to get Yavin Leia as well.
