My friends I hope you are well
I Hope that your stomachs are full of warmth and contentment
That your lungs Breathe free
contracting with crisp pure air
I pray that you drink in vitality and mindfulness
As these times are changing
Moving steadily towards an inevitable destitute
Our planet is no longer considered valuable without a price tag
We shove living creatures into our figurative boxes and when they don't measure up to our human standards of worth
we breath a death into their already flickering candle whick
I remember being seven and learning about the basic needs of survival : food, water, air and shelter
It seems that we have forgotten that we are truly are delicate, disposable beings
these laws of existence still apply to us, we are not immortal
Our waters are swimming with waste and pollution
The earthen substance we call food is withering
Breathing becomes labored as the air we ingest plants flowers of tar into our lungs
Our shelters are rapidly morphing into self built coffins
We are unchanging creatures of habit and comfort
Sweeping realization and understanding underneath our living room carpets
Has been groomed into us since our first conscious acknowledgement of ego
We live in a manufactured world where conceptual paper is more important then actual souls.
Where the building grown taller then fallen trees.
The people have become infatuated with untangible idealistics.
Dehumanized by television and animalisticized by power.
We are gods in an atheistic society.
When the last tree has been sawed and the last grass blade trimmed
When your face fades to blue and
Your stomach is full of the cement stones of regret
Will you realize that you cannot eat money or breathe in power
My friends hold your loved ones close because
The existence has no price tag and our expiration date is coming near.
