Barcelona 1-0 Valencia

Barcelona manager Ernesto Valverde  termed Lionel Messi as spectacular to watch in a game Barcelona edged Valencia 1-0 in their Copa del Rey semi-final first leg at a half-full Camp Nou on Thursday.

Barca dominated the first half but had to wait until the 67th minute for the breakthrough. During the first half, Barca completed 438 passes in just 45 minutes, but failed to trouble visiting goalkeeper Jaume Domenech.

As anyone might expect, Barca eventually broke through in the 67th minute when Messi created something out of nothing for Luis Suarez to head home and became the man who opened the Valencia defender before setting up Suarez.

Getting the ball in the territory, the Argentine wandered aimlessly his way to the byline before standing the ball up at the far post.
