Manchester United are confident that their number one stopper David De Gea will stay with the Manchester based club despite strong links and interest from Real Madrid.
De Gea was close to signing Real Madrid at the end of last season, as Real Madrid has been chasing the Spanish international since 2015. The deal last season did not go through after misunderstanding between two clubs.

However it is understood that De Gea is now happy with his life at Manchester United under the management of Jose Mourinho and wants to stay with the club.
De Gea has made 45 appearances for United this season but sat out last week’s Europa League final, with Sergio Romero getting the nod for the win over Ajax.
