Liverpool Football Club midfielder Philippe Coutinho says he is not leaving Liverpool to be just another player at Europe’s big club. Liverpool means more to the midfielder as he believes he has lot more to offer the English Club.
Coutinho signed new five years at Liverpool, however clubs from Germany and Spain are highly interested and linked with the Brazilian midfielder.
“Stay here and they will end up building a statue in your honour,” Coutinho told ESPN Brasil.
“Go somewhere else, to Barcelona, to Bayern Munich, to Real Madrid, and you will be just another player. Here you can be something more.
“I have a long contract with Liverpool. Speculation is for journalists only.”
Coutinho has made 138 Premier League appearances for the Reds since joining from Inter Milan for £8.5m in 2013
