Mumbai hoarding collapse is the recent unfortunate tragic incident of the city which killed 16 people and left many injured. On May 13, 2024, due to heavy dust, rain, and wind storms in Mumbai, a 250-tonne hoarding in Ghatkopar, Mumbai collapsed on a pavement. While the rescue operation, which started on May 13, 2024, ended today, it is now reported that amongst the 16 people who were killed in the hoarding collapse, two of them belong to Kartik Aaryan's family. Unfortunately, Kartik Aryan's uncle and aunt also lost their lives due to the tragic incident.

Kartik Aaryan's uncle, aunt lost their lives in Mumbai hoarding collapse
According to a report in TOI, Kartik Aaryan's uncle Manoj Chansoriya (60) and his wife Anita (59) lost their lives in the Mumbai hoarding collapse incident. Manoj was a retired general manager at Air Traffic Control. As per the reports, the weight of the hoarding was so heavy that possibilities are all the 16 people who have lost their lives would have died on the spot the moment the hoarding fell. While the deceased bodies have been recovered, all of them are mostly in decomposed states. As of now, there has been no reaction to the above news by Kartik Aaryan or his team. While the rescue operation is now called off, the debris is still being cleared.
BMC has already stated that the specific hoarding was illegal and was placed without their permission. The advertising agency, Ego Media Pvt Ltd, was the one who installed the hoarding illegally. Bhavesh Bhinde, the owner of Ego Media Pvt Ltd, was on the run from the police for the past three days; however, he was successfully caught today in Udaipur. After the incident, Bhavesh knew that police are on the hunt for him and hence he first fled to Lonavala, then Thane, Ahmedabad, and eventually was hiding in a Udaipur hotel under a different name. The police eventually got hold of him at the hotel. It is stated that even the Udaipur police didn't know that a team has actually flown to nab him.
