Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai serial: Rohit Purohit currently essays the character of Armaan Poddar in the Rajan Shahi show. He replaced Shehzada Dhami as Armaan about a month ago. When Rohit entered the show, ardent fans of YRKKH were worried if Rohit could ace the character of Armaan. However, the bigger concern of the fans was if Rohit would have crackling on-screen chemistry with Samridhii Shukla the way Shehzada did. In a recent interview, Rohit Purohit revealed that he did have jitters when he initially started shooting with Samridhii Shukla.

Rohit Purohit shares why he had jitters while shooting with Samridhii Shukla

In an interview with TV Times, Rohit Purohit stated that when he initially started shooting for TV show Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Ha , he was quite nervous. Rohit stated that in the initial days, everyone had an opinion on how Armaan Poddar should be. He stated that obviously, he was not Armaan from the first day itself and was really nervous. The actor further mentioned that he liked his nervousness as he believes that when you are nervous, you are very accepting and ready to receive a lot as an actor.

The actor stated that playing Armaan is a big responsibility. He mentioned that even after working for so many years in television, he doesn't carry the baggage of doing too many shows as for him, every show and character has different flavors, and hence he treats each and every show like his first show. In the same interview, Rohit acknowledged that initially, he had jitters in his stomach because it's a new show, and there were a lot of expectations. On top of that, Samridhii was shooting with another actor for the past 5 months, due to which the actor stated he was not sure how she would react. Rohit revealed that all his jitters slowly vanished as Samridhii turned out to be a good and supportive co-star.

Rohit's wife, television actress Sheena Bajaj, also said in an interview that she was a bit nervous as she knew Rohit and Samridhii would have quite a few romantic scenes, and since Rohit and Samridhii were new to each other, it could have been awkward for them.
