A shocking report states that Madhur Mittal who rose to fame with Slumdog Millionaire in which he played the role of Samir Malik has been booked by Khar police for an alleged sexual assault by his former girlfriend. As per a report in Free Press Journal, the actor assaulted his former girlfriend at her home. A police probe is underway right now. A spokesperson from the police team said that the incident took place on 13 February 2021. The police said that the Shaka Laka Boom Boom actor allegedly barged into the complainant's house and sexually assaulted her.

The complaint is a resident of Bandra. Madhur Mittal met her last year in December. The complaint's lawyer Niranjani Shetty revealed that within a fortnight of knowing each other, Madhur Mittal, the accused had forced himself on her under the influence of alcohol. Furthermore, the complainant's lawyer added that she had cut all ties with him on February 11 and two days later, the Million Dollar Arm actor went on to assault her.

"Madhur Mittal was livid with anger. He got into my client's room and without giving her any chance to talk, strangled her neck more than 15 times, slapped her multiple times, pulled her hair, yanked her ears, and punched her under the right eye, physically lifted her and assaulted her. It was a sexual attack. She has sustained bruises and injuries all over her face, neck, chest, ribs, hands, back and ears and eyes," the lawyer said in a statement.

Shetty also revealed that Mittal was spotted below the complainant's residence on 15 February as well, but she called him and threatened him with consequences. The report in Free Press Journal further states that he has been booked under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code for molestation, sexual harassment, and sexual assault. An FIR has been filed against Madhur Mittal by the complainant. As per the report, Madhur Mittal is currently in Jaipur shooting for a digital series.
