Suriya and Jyothika are one of the most loved couples of Tollywood, who have won our hearts with their mesmerising chemistry on the silver screen. The duo featured in films Poovellam Kettupaar, Uyirile Kalanthathu, Kaakha Kaakha, Perazhagan, Maayavi and June R while Sillunu Oru Kaadhal was their last collaboration. While many of the fans of the duo shared their wish for their reunion and it is coming true as Suriya recently revealed in one of his interviews that the works are going on in one such project and it will be announced soon.

The film will be directed by Halitha Thameem and produced by Anjali Menon. Meanwhile Suriya will be next seen in Soorarai Pottru, which will release on November 12 on Amazon Prime Video. Talking about the lead star, director Sudha Kongara recently said, "He is very real in the film, and he knows what I want and he gave his 200 per cent to the role. He would be the first at the set, and he caught my attention with his performance."

Talking about the online release, Suriya earlier said, "I am glad that audiences across the world will be able to watch Soorarai Pottru, on Amazon Prime Video from their homes in these unprecedented times. This film is our labour of love and I am happy that it will now entertain the global audience." "The moment I heard the script from Director Sudha, I was sure it has to be told and I wanted to produce this film under 2D Entertainment", shared Suriya and added, "Essaying Capt. Gopinath's character came to me as a challenge, but we are very proud of our final product.
