The TRPs of Bigg Boss 14 have been rather disappointing. While some might argue that the show is a slow starter, there is no doubt that it is not even a patch of what we saw in Bigg Boss 13. Of course, last year we had some truly big names on the show. The casting was beyond perfect. This time, we have fewer big names, but something seems off. Many die-hard fans are saying that this lot does not have the drive to compete fiercely and provide entertainment. They are treating it just like another project. Also, the emotional quotient of the show is rather low.

However, one thing that seems to have put off people is the eliminations. Sara Gurpal was eliminated by Sidharth Shukla's decision as he felt that she did not contribute much. The same thing happened with Shehzad Deol and Nishant Singh Malkani. All the three evictions happened due to in-house decisions. This has really put off people. Both Sara Gurpal and Shehzad Deol got votes in huge numbers. People from the North voted for them in abundance. This has left people gruntled as what's the use of public votes if eliminations will be decided by others.

Bigg Boss has been an audience's show throughout. The latest was the eviction of Nishant Singh Malkani. The handsome hunk enjoys immense popularity as Akshat Jindal from the show Guddan Tumse Na Ho Payega. He got huge number of votes but was ousted by the housemates. He told us, "This week's TRP is really low. If you do not give importance to audience why should they give importance to you!" When asked about the elimination of Shehzad Deol and Sara Gurpal, he said they were unfair. He said, "Obviously, if you do not consider public votes, it is not making sense. It is run by the junta. It is an audience show. If you decide within yourself, what is the use of voting."
