2020 has been the worst year in eons for us all. Since the start of the year, we have been hearing one sad and negative news after another. The coronavirus outbreak in the country has been the worst nightmare for all of us. Each one of us has been struggling in some way or another. Some do not have proper food to eat while some have psychologically broken down. Six months of this unfortunate year have passed and we have gone through a lot. Many have lost their loved ones, too. We have heard about so many deaths in the entertainment industry as well and the television industry has lost many of its stars in these past six months. Here are the TV celebs who passed away in the first half of 2020

Ranjan Sehgal

 

Crime Patrol actor Ranjan Sehgal passed away on July 11. It is believed that he died due to multiple organ failure. He was 36 and was not keeping well since a long time. The actor was seen in shows like Gustakh Dil, Rishton Se Badi Pratha, Kuldeepak, and Savdhaan India.

Divvya Chouksey

 

Over the weekend, we lost another TV celeb as Divvya Chouksey breathed her last due to cancer. She was just 29. The news was conveyed by her cousin, Amish Verma, on Facebook. Just hours before she passed away, Divvya wrote a message on her Insta stories, asking fans to pray for her easy passing. She wrote that she was on her deathbed and prayed for a life of no suffering. Divvya said that no words could suffice for how much she was suffering and told people that she loved them a lot.

Manmeet Grewal

 

Aadat Se Majboor actor Manmeet Grewal had committed suicide after suffering from depression. Manmeet also was out of work since lockdown was announced and had a lot of debts that were due and the toll was too much to bear, leading him to take such a drastic step. Manmeet's friend and producer, Manjit Singh Rajput, had also opened up on his suicide and revealed that he was facing financial issues.

Preksha Mehta

 

TV actress Preksha Mehta committed suicide in her home in Indore, Madhya Pradesh. The young lady, aged just 25, had worked in shows like Crime Patrol, Laal Ishq and Meri Durga. She returned home to Indore from Mumbai as the lockdown set in. It seems she was depressed due to this lockdown and also because of losing out on work. As per reports, he indefinite delay had worsened her mental state. She ended her life by hanging herself from a fan in her room on May 25.

Sejal Sharma

 

Dil Toh Happy Hai Ji actress Sejal Sharma was found hanging in her flat at Mira Road on January 24. Sejal, who has been a part of popular TV show Dil Toh Happy Hai Ji also left behind a suicide note. As per a report in Times of India, the Kashimiri police registered a case of accidental death. Several reports suggest that Sejal was going through a difficult time professionally and personally as her show had shut down leaving her without work.

Jagesh Mukati

 

Jagesh Mukati, who was seen in many television shows like Amita Ka Amit and Shree Ganesh, died on June 10. He had complained about breathing issues before breathing his last. As per reports, he was admitted to a hospital for 3-4 days before passing away. Jagesh Mukati was 47 and was also seen in Bollywood movies like Sidharth Malhotra and Parineeti Chopra's Hasee Toh Phasee, and Aamir Khan's Mann and PK.
